Windsurfing: The Dip-Felixstowe Wind Direction: wsw Wind Stength: crap Surf / Sea State: slight Air Temperature: 12 Sea Temperature: 8 Weather: cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered:
I think desperation has set in now as it's been such a poor month that with
a little breeze moving the trees in the garden and the decorating finished
for the day I headed for The Dip after dinner. With the wind being slightly
off but had readings of 16+ mph on the gauge decided to take a chance and
rig the 8.5 and try the Falcon 120.After floundering out to the red and
white bouy the little wind there was all but disappeared :) so when I
dropped the rig turning I was in trouble as the board was next to
impossible to uphaul which was a big surprise for a board so big - should
never have sold the carve 145 !!!! After trying without success to
waterstart a charter fishing boat picked me up as I was drifting fast
downwind in the strong tide and would never made it back to the Felixstowe
side :( The Felixstowe ferry harbour master then took me ashore and then I
had a mile walk the get my van !!! So not one of my better sessions :( but
some wind coming for the bank holiday weekend but turning cold and wet !!!!
